New vibration-monitoring kit from Hansford Sensors
Hansford Sensors have added a new model to their range of vibration-monitoring equipment. The HS-630 has all the facilities of the previous HS-620 model but with an additional feature to measure spot temperature.
The HS-630 vibration/temperature monitoring kit contains a compact, portable digital vibration meter operating with a hand-held probe, together with a non-contact temperature measuring sensor aided by a laser locator beam.
It is designed for maintenance technicians to use to monitor vibration levels and spot temperature on plant and machinery, helping to find potential problems and avoid future plant failure.
Suitable as an entry-level unit, the meter's portability means that measurements can be taken in-situ.
Conforming to ISO 10816-3 Machine Vibration Standard, the unit can measure bearing condition and levels of velocity, acceleration and displacement, covering any of the four ISO machine group options ranging from large 300kW machines (Group 1) to pumps rated at 15kW (Group 4). It has a 'Hold' facility where the display will indicate the alarm status shown as ‘OK’, ‘Vibration Alert’ or ‘Danger’.
The vibration meter is powered by an internal rechargeable battery that can operate continuously for 48h. Battery condition is displayed as an icon. The unit comes complete with both a mains powered and an in-car battery charger.
The HS-630 kit, which is available ex-stock, includes a vibration/temperature meter, hand-held probe, magnetic mount, mains and in-car chargers, and instruction manual, all contained within a protective carrying case.
