Business earns top-tier accolades in safety excellence from National Ready Mixed Concrete Association
AMRIZE have been recognized with multiple top-tier safety excellence awards by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) under its Think First Safety Contest.
The annual incentive award programme honours ready-mixed concrete facilities across the US that demonstrate exceptional safety records. One hundred Amrize facilities were recognized and of those, 92 achieved the highest, Gold-level status.
‘Safety remains our most important priority at Amrize and we are proud of the many recipients and individuals that have contributed in making safe work a daily goal,’ said Scott Jacoby, vice-president of safety and risk at Amrize Building Materials.
‘Support from our trusted partnerships such as NRMCA help safeguard the broader industry organization, reaffirming that safety is not proprietary.’
NRMCA’s Safety Task Group uses a three-tier grading system – Gold, Silver, and Bronze – that pulls in the latest Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)/Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Incident Rate reported for the ready-mixed concrete industry.
Representing the producers of ready-mixed concrete and the companies that provide materials, equipment, and support to the industry, NRMCA says this recognition continues to underscore its role as a trusted trade partner in an industry estimated to include more than 7,500 plants in the US.
