New urban coating plant for Exeter Roadstone

EXETER Roadstone, a division of Aggregate Industries plc, have opened a new œ500,000 urban coating plant at their Rockbeare site near Exeter. The plant will produce a variety of asphalts and specialist materials, including Prodrive driveway macadam and Leisuretex play surface, for customers in Devon and Cornwall.

The company will continue to offer their coloured macadams and wide range of aggregates, and also plan to set up a recycling operation at the site using crushed concrete and road planings.

Urban plant manager Catherine Gibson said: 'Exeter Roadstone was established [in 1999] to serve the collect trade, providing easy accessibility and fast turnaround on orders for both coated and dry stone.'
