New role at Lafarge

A NEW role has been created at Lafarge A&C UK to secure more work in the ‘major projects’ market in sectors, such as nuclear, wind, transport, renewable energy and waste.

Gordon Napier, currently regional business manager South Wales, has been appointed to the new position of director major projects. The division has already been successful in gaining key contracts, including major highway improvements to the A46, M25 and A421. Building on these projects and making inroads in other market sectors will be a vital part of Mr Napier’s role and important to Lafarge’s future commercial strategy.

‘I’m delighted to be appointed into what will be an exciting and challenging role,’ commented Mr Napier. ‘Securing major projects in a variety of market segments is integral to the long-term continued success of the company. I intend to build on both our recent success in supplying materials for key infrastructure projects and our leading position in providing innovative solutions for our customers.’
