New range of waste-water pumps from Denmark

A new Danish company, PXPumps A/S, have started production and worldwide marketing of a completely new range of high-performance pumps, primarily for waste-water handling.

Initially, there will be a base range of five models — PX0, PX1, PX2, PX3 and PX4 — ranging in power from 0.655kW to 92kW. All models will be configured for different power supplies, ranging from 220V to 600V 50Hz. For the US, Canadian and some Asian markets, the range will also be available with a 60Hz option.

Distribution will be through many former Pumpex distributors together with several new dealer agreements that have already been negotiated to ensure immediate and efficient market coverage. A range of dewatering pumps will be launched later in the year.

The new range is said to offer increased performance with high-quality electric motors and improved impeller design. For faster and easier maintenance, the entire range is fitted with only two or four latch bolts, making it simpler and faster to inspect the impeller.

PXPumps say their pump range overcomes the common problem of over-heating as each pump features an internal cooling jacket designed to optimize cooling at a low-level frequency in the sump. As the pump can be left to run continuously, it prevents sediment forming at the bottom for complete emptying.

PXPumps are also offering a newly developed software package called PXpert, designed to allow customers to evaluate different pump configurations to determine the most efficient solution from a combination of factors, including duty points, head-loss calculation, dimensions and efficiency.
