New PPE for Acheson & Glover staff

Acheson & Glover staff

Northern Ireland-based company’s entire workforce receives new set of personal protective equipment

LAST month saw the arrival of new personal protective equipment (PPE) for Acheson & Glover’s 400-strong workforce, including installation crews in Northern Ireland and Great Britain, and production sites at Fivemiletown, Dungannon, Ballygawley, Toome, Carryduff and Pomeroy.

Staff received a variety of new PPE including hi-vis coats, overalls and ultra-modern ‘bump caps’. Acheson & Glover say the arrival of the new PPE signifies another step forward for them as they seek to modernize all areas of the business in order to build upon significant growth experienced in 2015.

Cathy Donnelly, health, safety and environment manager, said: ‘For the last 50 years our business has been built on quality. At Acheson & Glover, we know that all of our staff play a huge role in ensuring that our levels of quality are kept as high as possible at all times.

‘It is for this reason that we place a lot of importance on listening to our staff and making sure that we meet their wants and needs as best we can.’

‘The arrival of the new PPE last month marked the beginning of a number of initiatives that we will be rolling out throughout the course of 2016. We have worked hard to ensure that the best interests of our workforce will be at the heart of each of these new initiatives.’
