New LOCTITE coatings for anti-slip surfaces

LOCTITE PC 6315 anti-slip surface coating

Henkel introduce two new solvent-free coating products for the creation of durable anti-slip surfaces

TO help reduce slips and falls in the workplace, Henkel have added two new solvent-free products to their coatings range, LOCTITE PC 6315 and LOCTITE PC 6262, both of which create an anti-slip surface coating on materials such as concrete, asphalt and metal.

LOCTITE PC 6315, a solvent-free, two-part black epoxy, is fire retardant when cured and resistant to most acids, alkalis, solvents, grease, oil, salt water, detergents, alcohol, petrol, jet fuels and hydraulic acids. It is typically applied with a roller or trowel to create a textured surface that is extremely durable and can withstand heavy vehicular traffic.

LOCTITE PC 6261 is a single-part epoxy, primarily designed for application in areas of high pedestrian footfall or light rolling traffic. It too is fire-retardant when cured and resists petrol, oil, acids, alkalis and aliphatic solvents. Available in safety yellow or grey, the product can be applied by roller to create a ridged profile or sprayed for a more uniform appearance.

Typical applications for both products include concrete and steel ramps, walkways, loading bays, marine environments, machine shops, assembly areas and stairs. They are suitable for use in dry service temperatures from –29°C to +60°C.
