New hydraulic release system from Terex Pegson

Terex Pegson have recognized the demand for a jaw crusher with full hydraulic release capability, a particularly important feature for recycling and demolition applications where the risk of uncrushable objects in the feed material is relatively high.

The new design allows the plant to be operated from the excavator cab without the need for an operator to climb on the plant when uncrushable material is present in the feed. Unlike a basic hydraulic adjust system, Terex Pegson say that their system provides a protection facility for the jaw crusher. The system, which was developed for their 1165 Premiertrak jaw crusher, has proved successful on a number of recycling applications with over 100 machines now in service. The overload facility also makes the system suitable for the crushing of slag.

Since introducing the system, a number of enhancements have been made to the system, including increasing the pre-load pressure from 400 bar to 500 bar and changes to the slider pads.
