New Concrete Technology in Construction

THE Institute of Concrete Technology is to hold its 35th annual convention and technical symposium from 26–28 March 2007 at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

The technical symposium, which takes place on Tuesday 27 March on the theme of ‘New Concrete Technology in Construction’, will begin with a keynote address entitled ‘Breaking Down the Citadels: Challenges of Fit for Purpose Concrete’, by Prof. Ravindra Dhir of the University of Dundee.

Among the various other presentations during the day will be papers on: limestone-filler-based self-compacting concrete; precast concrete products made from recycled aggregates; an innovative solution for concrete flooring; and synthetic macro fibres.
