Contract manufacturing firm makes ‘The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200’ list

MTL Group, the South Yorkshire-based contract manufacturing company which specializes in the supply of value-added metal components, has been listed in the prestigious ‘Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200’ for the first time.

The review, published on Sunday 8 July, ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing international sales over their latest two years of available accounts.

The Rotherham firm makes steel and aluminium parts for construction equipment, military vehicles and offshore wind farms. Customers include Caterpillar, Renault Trucks and Rheinmetall.

Managing director Dr Henry Shirman said: ‘MTL Group has continued to grow during these challenging times through careful investment in our people and in the latest state-of-the-art equipment. This has allowed us to continue to develop overseas markets.

‘To be included in the ‘Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200’ list is a massive achievement and a real testament to the hard work and effort by everyone involved with the company.’

MTL Group’s exports have grown by 28% over the past two years ending March 2012, representing exports sales of £4 million. Since then, the Group has announced that it has won its largest ever export order, worth around £9 million.
