Mining drives on show at Hillhead 2014
SEW Eurodrive to showcase their latest industrial drive solutions for mining and quarrying applications
VISITORS to the SEW Eurodrive stand will be able to discuss the latest range of drive solutions for mining and quarrying applications.
Among the company’s wide range of drive products are: the X-series heavy-duty helical and bevel-helical gear units for torques of up to 475kNm; the compact P-series planetary gear units with low output speeds and high torque; bucket elevator drives; close-coupled conveyor drives; high-efficiency geared motors; electronic drive controls; slewing drives; and much more.
Visitors to the stand will be able to discuss a range of drive packages commonly found in the mining and quarrying industries. These include drives for applications such as large conveyors, overland belt conveyors, flotation cells, track drives, mobile crushing rigs, mixing, agitation and crushing.
As well as offering the latest in drive technology and energy-efficient solutions, SEW Eurodrive can also service any make or model of gearbox, regardless of the manufacturer or the age of the unit. Visitors will also be able to find out more about the company’s unique Complete Drives Management (CDM) service that integrates the maintenance and servicing of a mine’s drive units with an innovative online databank.
The CDM databank provides a complete overview of all the drive technology at a site, or group of sites, including all the installed drives as well as those held in storage. A user can see at a glance the condition of each drive, access its service history and schedule maintenance by an SEW Eurodrive engineer.
CDM streamlines, simplifies and increases the efficiency of a mine’s drive technology maintenance regime. It can reduce downtime, cut unnecessary stock, identify potential problems in advance and target older drive technology that could be replaced to improve energy efficiency.
