MPA national Mineral Products Conference on 24 June at QEII Conference Centre, Westminster

WITH the theme of ‘Planning Long…Embracing Change’, leading speakers at the Mineral Products Association (MPA) national Mineral Products 2019 conference on 24 June will address the impact of a more digital future, changing UK politics, and our economic and energy outlook. The conference will also focus on two key areas for our industry, the current innovation and ongoing evolution of construction, and international and national mineral resource challenges.

Taking place at the QEII Conference Centre, Westminster, the event will be chaired by BBC newsreader and presenter Sophie Raworth, and key speakers will include: Lindsay Herbert, digital transformation leader and inventor with IBM iX; Prof. Vernon Bogdanor of King’s College London; William Zimmern, head of global macroeconomics at BP; Michael Grubb, Professor of energy and climate change at University College London (UCL); Keith Waller, programme director with Transforming Construction Alliance; Dr Matthew Free, director of Arup; Pascal Peduzzi, director of GRID-Geneva, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP); and Andrew Bloodworth, science director for minerals and waste with the British Geological Survey.
