Recycled aggregates supplier wins award for fastest growing business in the UK waste-management industry 

FOLLOWING a rigorous selection process, the most influential players in the waste-management sector gathered at the 2016 Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) ‘Sustainability and Resource Awards’, which was celebrating its 10-year anniversary.

Hosted by celebrity Alistair McGowan, the event welcomed 300 of the industry’s leading figures from all over the UK to celebrate and recognize innovation, achievement and best practice in the sustainable management of waste and resources. 

 

The awards are split into 16 categories and among the winners were Mick George Ltd, who scooped the ‘Catalyst Corporate Finance Waste and Resources Fast 50’ award which recognizes the fastest revenue growing business in the UK’s waste-management sector.

With a strong network of transfer stations, landfill sites and state-of-the-art recycling facilities, the company delivers a fully compliant and accredited, tailored waste solution, meeting the highest environmental standards and best working practices. 

Mick George also provide ‘a fully verifiable 100% landfill diversion for all waste; returning it to industry and agriculture either as new material or as sustainable energy’.
