Metso Outotec to expand production in India

Company investing in increased mobile track-mounted plant manufacturing capacity in Alwar

METSO Outotec are to invest in extending their current manufacturing capacity for mobile track-mounted crushing and screening equipment in Alwar, India. Total production is planned to grow by 30% from the current level and global track-mounted mobile machine capacity by 15%.

Construction of the new factory facilities is expected to start in early 2022 and scheduled be completed by the end of the year. Employing approximately 200 additional people, the increased capacity in India will be used to manufacture McCloskey and Lokotrack mobile equipment. Once the extension is completed, the Alwar factory will be one of Metso Outotec’s biggest manufacturing sites, employing approximately 800 people in total.

 

‘This is another step in the development of our domestic and export business in India,’ said Markku Simula, president of the Aggregates business area of Metso Outotec. ‘At the same time, we are also investing significantly in engineering and R&D resources in Alwar and making it one of our global engineering hubs.’
