Acquisition set to complement company’s current mobile crushing and screening offering
METSO Outotec have signed an agreement to acquire Northern Ireland-based Tesab Engineering Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
Tesab manufacture mobile crushing and screening equipment for aggregates applications, including quarrying, recycling, asphalt, and concrete.
The company’s turnover in 2021 was approximately €30 million and it has more than 60 employees, primarily in Europe.
Tesab will continue as an independent brand within Metso Outotec and manage their own distribution network.
With the acquisition, Metso Outotec will complement their current offering in the mobile crushing and screening markets. Tesab’s product portfolio includes mobile jaw, impact, and cone crushers, and mobile screens, scalpers, and stackers.
Markku Simula, president of the Aggregates business area at Metso Outotec, said: ‘We are very glad to welcome Tesab to Metso Outotec. I am convinced that we can further develop their business.
‘We intend to increase Tesab’s global reach by appointing new distributors and strengthening their presence in new markets.’
Closing of the deal is expected to take place during the second quarter of 2022.
