Metso acquire Kiln Flame Systems Ltd

Acquisition of UK-based combustion specialist extends Metso’s pyro processing portfolio and capabilities

METSO have extended their pyro processing portfolio and capabilities with the acquisition of  UK-based combustion solutions and technology providers Kiln Flame Systems Ltd (KFS).

KFS specialize in rotary kiln and calcining processes, combustion optimization and burner technologies with patented designs, providing solutions to a wide range of industries, including cement, lime, lightweight aggregates and minerals processing.

 

Founded in 1999, KFS have 14 employees based in High Wycombe, UK, and will become part of Metso’s Minerals Services business area, which offers a comprehensive line of pyro processing equipment.

Mikko Keto, president of the Minerals Services business area at Metso, said: ‘The acquisition supports Metso’s growth strategy by strengthening our capabilities to provide pyro solutions to our customers. KFS technologies will complement our offering and we are pleased to welcome the KFS team to Metso.’
