Marubeni-Komatsu introduce the WA100M-8 wheel loader
Latest compact model offers increased productivity, lower operating costs and greater operator comfort
MARUBENI-Komatsu have launched their new WA100M-8 wheel loader, the latest in the company’s new generation of Stage IV-compliant machines, offering high productivity, reduced fuel consumption and optimum operator safety and comfort.
Equipped with new and enhanced features, the loader boasts an improved ergonomic design, a high level of standard specification and an array of new options. Designed with construction and recycling contractors in mind, the WA100M-8 is a versatile machine thanks to an hydraulic quick coupler, an Easy Fork kinematic and a wide range of available attachments.
The new wheel loader is powered by a Komatsu SAA4D94LE‐3 engine (94hp), which has been optimized for demanding construction applications in which high torque is required at low rev/min. The machine also incorporates a fully hydrostatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels, while the operator can rely on Easy Fork kinematic to transport loads with Komatsu pallet forks parallel to the ground without readjusting the fork tines.
For improved versatility, available options on the WA100M-8 wheel loader include: increased travel speeds at 40km/h; new high flow hydraulics; a height‐adjustable trailer hitch; and the latest 3rd and 4th hydraulic circuits on the rear of the machine.
For increased productivity, the machine features Komatsu’s redesigned 1.3 cubic metre-capacity digging bucket which, the company says, offers better penetration, a longer bucket bottom, a modified shape of the back/side walls and a newly designed spill guard.
For maximum operational safety, the machine’s low centre of gravity enhances stability while its compact dimensions and new engine hood ensure exceptional all-round visibility for the operator. All maintenance and service can be performed easily and quickly thanks to the tilting cab. The engine hood opens widely for a quick daily inspection, the electric equipment is well protected behind a maintenance cover and the easy‐to‐clean radiator is conveniently accessible.
The WA100M-8 loader comes with KOMTRAX technology, which sends machine operating information (eg location, cautions, maintenance alerts etc.) to a secure website for analysis.
