Martin Engineering launch EVO Return Roller

EVO conveyor return roller

New return roller from global conveyor technology specialist delivers easy conveyor idler replacement

MARTIN Engineering have introduced a new return roller that is designed to deliver superior rolling support for conveyer belts.

The EVO Return Roller is a new roller is a track-mounted, pivoting, return-side idler that allows service and replacement from one side of the conveyor.

The track-mounted assembly utilizes one-pin quick-change functionality to make service fast and easy. As a result, the roll can be replaced by one person in much less time and with greatly reduced injury risk.

EVO Return Rollers help improve safety and prevent injuries by minimizing suspension and heavy lifting, while reducing the time and resources needed for service or replacement. Space limitations and access constraints are typically not an issue, as the idler roll can be serviced from one side of the conveyor.

The roller also features an integrated fine adjustment to completely square the belt.  The roller itself is one-piece and the assembly includes a three-piece adjustable hanger bracket and swivel/pivot component, which allows the roller to be swung away from its support prior to removing the entire assembly.

Return rollers can be employed where there is belt sag on the return side of the conveyor or in situations where there are seizing issues that require frequent roll replacement. They are well suited to high-angle conveyors with difficult access and confined-space applications.

Fitting any belt size from 24in (610mm) to 72in (1,829mm) in width, the three-piece hanger frame adjusts to accommodate the different belt widths. The universal bracket fits most major idler manufacturers’ designs, and the return roller conforms to the CEMA rating for idler belt speeds.

Martin Engineering say specific launch dates for the EVO Return Roller may vary slightly, depending on the country/region.
