Looking for a change in direction?

"ARE you thinking about a career change? Have you ever considered teaching? If you think you have the ability to pass on the benefit of your experience in quarrying and/or asphalt technology to the next generation of quarry managers and asphalt technologists, then Doncaster College may have just the job for you."

"The School of Engineering and Minerals is currently looking to appoint someone with broad experience of the industry as full-time lecturer in quarrying/asphalt technology, primarily to teach on the college’s distance learning programmes (DAPS)."

"Applicants should be familiar with the use of IT and are likely to have a professional qualification and at least five years’ practical experience, which should include at least two of the following:"

  • quarry shotfiring and blast design
  • quarry operations and management
  • asphalt materials, specification, testing, contracts procurement and current design
  • surfacing management.

"In return, the college is offering an attractive salary package which is comparable to that available in industry, together with a pension and 35 days annual holiday. For more information contact:"
