Lighter addition to Lokotrack range

METSO Minerals have added a new, lighter jaw crusher unit – the 58-tonne LT110C – to their Lokotrack crusher range. Designed for primary crushing applications, Metso say the machine’s rugged design but lower weight make it easier to transport from one location to another.

The LT110C is built around the company’s C110 jaw crusher, which has a feed opening of 1,100mm x 850mm and accepts a maximum feed size of just under 700mm.

Two types of feeder arrangement are available. The standard grizzly feeder is capable of handling average scalping requirements, while in situations where large amounts of fines need to be scalped, the combination of pan feeder and separate two-deck scalper can be used. Based on the feed system selected, the LT110C can be equipped with either a standard 6 cu m feed hopper or a 9 cu m version.

There is also a choice of discharge conveyors. In addition to the standard 11m conveyor, there is the option of a 14m folding conveyor, providing discharge height of 3.7m.

Metso’s IC500 intelligent control system is fitted as standard on the LT110C. This monitors and optimizes the entire crushing process to ensure maximum throughput and, if a problem arises, informs the operator about the cause.

Metso say the new mobile crusher can be easily combined with all secondary and fine-crushing plants in the Lokotrack range, and with mobile screens as a component in multi-stage crushing and screening processes.

Powered by a low-emission, 319kW, Cat C13 diesel engine, the LT110C is 15.6m long, 3.0m wide and 3.8m high in its transportation mode.

Optional accessories include wireless remote control, a detachable screen module, a dust-control system, a hydraulic hammer to clear feed blockages and a hydraulically powered generator.
