Liebherr to showcase specialist waste handlers

Liebherr L-538 P wheel loader

Latest L 538 P wheel loader and LH 22 M materials handler models to take centre stage at show

LIEBHERR will be displaying two new specialist materials handling machines – the L 538 P wheel loader and LH 22 M materials handler. Both models have been specially designed for recycling operations, waste-management, transfer stations and secondary metals handling.

Powered by a Stage IV-compliant engine (155hp), the Liebherr L 538 P wheel loader provides rapid and continuous acceleration across all speed ranges thanks to its hydrostatic driveline, while the Liebherr-Power-Efficiency (LPE) system delivers optimum power even at low engine speeds. According to Liebherr, this results in fuel savings of up to 25% compared with other wheel loaders in the same size class.

The L 538 P loader also features large axles with automatic self-locking differentials to ensure maximum traction even on challenging terrain. For increased durability, the overall structure of the machine, its two lift arm variants, Z-bar linkage and parallel-linkage, are all manufactured from reinforced steel.

The L 538 P also offers maximum comfort and visibility to the operator with its newly ergonomically designed cabin. Easier maintenance is another key design feature, as service points are accessible from ground level where they can be reached quickly and safely for the benefit of service engineers.

Likewise, the LH 22 M materials handler on display combines comfort, reliability and strong performance with long-reach working distance, fuel-efficiency and high-lift capacity.

Equipped with a 5.5m straight boom, a 3.5m industrial stick with tipping kinematics and a 0.75 cubic metre sorting grab with perforated shells, the LH 22 M unit is optimally equipped for recycling and sorting applications. Other features include: operator cab hydraulic height adjustment and four outrigger supports at the front and rear.
