Inaugural dealer meeting for Fintec

AT the end of February dealers gathered for Fintec Crushing & Screening’s first global meeting since the launch of the company in 2001. In the last five years Fintec have successfully brought five new products to the market, with sales approaching 400 units a year; increased the number of employees from 56 to 200; and appointed 30 dealers in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia.

Designed to strengthen the company’s relationship with their dealers, Fintec also used the meeting to set out their plans for the next five years. With a new 55,000ft2 extension to the factory costing £3.25 million, Fintec’s aim is to increase sales to become one of the top three suppliers of mobile crushing and screening equipment in the recycling/contractor market with a £100 million turnover by 2010. In order to achieve this the dealer network will be increased to over 60, backed-up with strong after-sales support.

Product development will also continue, starting with the launch of a new primary impact crusher at Bauma 2007 and a five-product screen for the quarrying market to follow in 2008. Sandvik are also modifying an H3800 hydrocone for use in a mobile crushing unit. With mobile equipment now able to produce material to the same standard as stationary equipment and the contractor market growing, Fintec, with their partners Sandvik, will be rolling out their strategy for product design, manufacture and marketing in the next six months.
