Ibstock Brick get a push

Ibstock Brick have taken delivery of two Nu-Star Super Pushers at their site in West Hoathly, West Sussex. The Super Pushers are used to push up to 24 dryer cars in the drying tunnels where the bricks are dried before going into the kiln.

Previously, a petrol-powered Gravely tractor unit was used to do the hourly tunnel push but, due to the age of the machine, spares were becoming increasingly difficult to source and a battery-powered solution was preferred in order to prevent any health and safety issues related to exhaust gases.
