IAT National Conference 2012

‘Winning Gold with New Technology’ will be the theme of this year’s conference in Chepstow

IN this year of Olympic celebrations, the Institute of Asphalt Technology’s national conference at the Marriott St. Pierre Hotel & Country Club, in Chepstow, on 5 July, will embrace the theme ‘Winning Gold with New Technology’ by exploring the need for new technology, the latest technical developments and how these can be put into practice by the industry.

The day will move from client requirements through innovations in materials, products, plant and construction practice, and will round off with examples of how the industry has helped to prepare the UK for this Olympic year.

 

Among the papers on the conference programme will be: Key characteristics of durable pavements, by Alan Ferguson of Breedon; Binder developments, by Dr Ian Lancaster of Nynas; Developments in asphalt proprietary products, by Dr Richard Taylor of Shell; Asphalt plant developments, by Mark Stone of Ammann; Paver technology, by Alistair Brown of MOBA; and Olympic Park, by Chris Hudson of Aggregate Industries.
