Hyundai introduce the new HX300AL

Hyundai HX300AL crawler excavator

Thirty-tonne, Stage V-compliant crawler excavator marks latest addition to A-Series line-up

FOLLOWING hard on the heels of the new HX220AL, Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE) are continuing the roll-out of their A-series crawler excavators with the launch of the 30-tonne HX300AL, which comes with a wide range of new technologies and services, including a new Stage V-compliant engine platform, new hydraulic flow regulation, improved operator controls, and new service and safety features.

The HX300AL excavator benefits from a new engine platform featuring a 194kW (264hp) stage V-compliant Cummins B6.7 engine with an innovative all-in-one exhaust after-treatment system that combines a unique exhaust muffler with integrated diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) injector, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and a diesel particulate filter (DPF).

Hyundai say further improvements in these technologies has eliminated the need for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), resulting in an uncomplicated, powerful and environmentally friendly solution with increased reliability and easy maintenance as well as reduced fuel consumption and lower operating cost.

Among the other new technologies incorporated in the HX300AL are:

  • EPIC (Electric Pump Independent Control). By controlling the pump’s regulation independently, the machine offers improved fuel efficiency and controllability.
  • Auto Safety Lock prevents unintended operation/start of the excavator, which improves safety for the operator and on the job site.
  • Eco guidance indicates ‘inefficient operation’ status to prevent energy losses (fuel consumption, hydraulic power) by inadequate working habits which is displayed on the machine cluster.

The HX300AL has a maximum digging depth of 8,030mm in mono-boom configuration and 14,740mm in long-reach configuration, whilst maximum digging reach is 11,420mm and 18,530mm respectively. Bucket breakout force is 192.2kN and arm digging force is 190.2kN.
