Tefra Tilt hitch system

Newry-based earthmoving attachment manufacturer to show new TEFRA Tilt Hitch

NORTHERN Ireland-based attachment manufacturers Hill Engineering will be showing their new TEFRA Tilt hitch, the award-winning TEFRA coupler and their Titan buckets at ScotPlant 2016, which takes place at the Royal Highland Centre, in Ingliston, Edinburgh, from 22–23 April.

The Hill TEFRA Tilt hitch system allows operators greater flexibility in the way they use their machines by turning every attachment into one that can tilt up to 180°. Hill Engineering have used their award-winning TEFRA system as the core of the product and introduced the highly reliable tilt motor from HKS of Germany to achieve the 180° tilt function.

Oliver Phelan, Hill Engineering’s sales and marketing manager, said: ‘We see this market growing significantly in the coming months and years as operators demand more from their machines and potentially enter new markets.’

Available for excavators from 3 tonnes up to 20 tonnes, the award-winning TEFRA coupler and the HKS XtraTilt power actuator have been united to provide users with two market-leading technologies that, according to Hill Engineering, will transform the productivity of excavator users.

Hill Engineering say the simple and robust design of the TEFRA Tilt, with just three moving parts, sets this product apart from those of other suppliers. In addition, the HKS XtraTilt power actuator is self-lubricating and essentially maintenance and wear free.

The award-winning, fully automatic TEFRA coupler, which is said to have played a significant part in increasing Hill’s market share, will also be on display at the ScotPlant show.

Hill say the TEFRA has proved itself to be the safest coupler on the market today thanks to its positive locking system rather than a gravity locking system, making the crucial safety feature ‘active’ and not ‘passive’.

Hill Engineering will be located on Avenue B, Stand 8.
