Hanson choose Cosalt workwear

HANSON have awarded Cosalt a major contract to supply a range of high-visibility orange workwear to the company’s quarry products division. The order, which is worth around £250,000, will involve the supply of garments over a two-year period.

Workers at Hanson’s 350 UK manufacturing sites will be supplied with three sets each of either a coverall or high-visibility work jacket and trouser combination from the Cosalt Atlas range, or flame retardant jackets, trousers and coveralls from the Magma range, as appropriate. The garments will be branded with the Hanson logo and will include additional design features.

Cosalt say they were awarded the contract on the back of their extensive experience of supplying bespoke workwear to the aggregates and quarrying market. The company has carried out considerable research into designing workwear that meets the specific needs of the industry and ensuring garments can withstand aggressive, dusty environments.

‘This is a significant contract win for Cosalt and we are looking forward to working with Hanson,’ said Bill Leggett, Cosalt’s national account manager. ‘We are finding more and more companies in the aggregates market are now purchasing their workwear direct and having a wash only contract with their laundry provider. This means we will be working in partnership with the laundries to ensure the roll-out progresses in line with the schedule.’
