Invicta BL80 industrial vibrator

New low-height frame FBL/FBLz range of rotary electric units among broad range of vibrators on display

INVICTA Vibrators are the UK’s leading manufacturers of rotary electric, rotary hydraulic and pneumatic piston vibrators. With almost 60 successful years of experience in the industry, they are one of the largest producers of industrial vibrators worldwide, and are supported by an extensive domestic and overseas sales and after-sales network.

This year at Hillhead Invicta will be displaying a broad selection of vibrators including the heavy-duty BLz78 and BL80 models, which feature an 8-bolt fixing arrangement and supply centrifugal force outputs of up to 23,000kgf from a 12.5kW winding – among the most powerful available anywhere. Examples of the new low-height frame FBL/FBLz range of rotary electric units, which offer an alternative footprint, will also be shown.

Invicta’s rotary electric vibrator range, which now provides outputs extending from 22kgf to the 23,000kgf force, includes both foot-mounted and flange-mounted models. The principal, complementary series manufactured at the company’s Grantham facility, the Types BLz, EBK, ULBK and FBLz/FBL offer 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pole models and most are available in both 50Hz and 60Hz versions.

All vibrators with a ‘z’ in the model number are suitable for use in normal environments, and are also certified for use in Zone 21 and Zone 22 areas, where dust is present as a hazard as defined by ATEX Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) (II 2 D).

EBK vibrators are explosion proof and are certified for use where flammable gases, vapours or mists are potential hazards, ie in Zones 1 and 2. EBK20 – EBK40 models are certified for Gas Groups IIA and IIB; and EBK45 – EBK75 for Gas Group IIA.

ULBK vibrators are explosion proof and conform to the requirements of Underwriters’ Laboratories Specification UL674 (File No. E7449) Class 1, Groups C and D; Class 2 groups E, F and G up to 600V.

The Invicta Vibrators range also includes two types of hydraulically powered machines and three types of pneumatic vibrator. Hydraulic vibrators are designed for use in areas where an electrical power source is not available, eg on mobile plant.

The Type HV is a single-shaft machine similar to BLz vibrators whereas the Type HVL features two mechanically linked counter-rotating shafts and out-of-balance weight sets, and delivers a linear vibration.

The pneumatic vibrator range comprises double air-cushioned models designed for quiet operation, plus continuous impacting and single impacting models.
