Four Daewoo excavators for Northern Ireland quarry
Loughran Rock Industries have added a pair of 50-tonne Daewoo excavators to their growing plant fleet.
The family-run company already has two Daewoo wheel loaders, all supplied by Northern Excavators of Belfast. Loughran Rock Industries currently extract around 450,000 tonnes of hard limestone a year and the two new Solar 500LC-V excavators have been assigned to work at the face where one loads 55-tonne rigid dumptrucks and the other is equipped with a hammer to deal with oversize rocks.
According to quarry owner Patsy Loughran: ‘We have been running Daewoo machines since 1996 and are very happy with both their production capabilities and the back-up support we receive from the dealer. In fact, as far as excavators go, we are now 100% Daewoo.’
