North West contractor strengthens mobile equipment fleet with two new HX300AL crawler excavators

FORSHAW Demolition have purchased two brand-new HD Hyundai HX300AL crawler excavators from local authorized dealers HES Enterprises. The family-owned business, with more than 80 years of experience in the demolition/deconstruction sector, has cited reliability, durability, and a high level of backup of the HD Hyundai products as key reasons for the recent purchase of the machines.

Forshaw are no strangers to owning and operating Hyundai construction equipment, with a strong fleet of HX series excavators that includes an HX520, two HX380As, an HX300A, and an HX140A, as well as a host of attachments, from hydraulic breakers and buckets to pulverizers and selector grabs.

HES Enterprises also prepare the Hyundai machines to Forshaw’s exacting demolition specification, just as they have done with the HX300AL units, by adding protective side skirts and safety handrails to the upper structure.

A full cab protection frame is included, while rebar cutters are fitted to the track frames to protect the undercarriage and upper structure of the excavators. Forshaw have also opted for OilQuick and Steelwrist quick couplers on the HX300ALs designed to provide rapid work attachment changes and increase site safety, allowing the operator to remain in the cab.

With a busy order book stretching well into 2024 and several major projects starting over the coming months, Forshaw’s HD Hyundai machines are certainly being kept busy.

Going forward the demolition firm has a five-year plant and equipment replacement policy, as reliability and longevity are important considerations, particularly in the arduous working environment of a demolition project.
