Engineered liners

"Stevens Geomembranes have introduced a new engineered system that combines standard 0.91mm, 1.14mm or 1.52mm reinforced Stevens polypropylene (PP) geomembrane with 0.76mm or 1.02mm unreinforced PP geomembrane in the same application. The materials are wedge- or thermal-welded together to provide performance characteristics and benefits that are not available in either exclusively reinforced or unreinforced systems."

"Unreinforced PP geomembranes have a relatively low modulus and high extensibility. They can elongate and conform to the underlying substrate at very low stress levels. The most common use of Steven’s engineered PP systems is in water-containment applications. The high tensile strength and stability of a reinforced liner is required for the sides of the installation, while an unreinforced material is used at the bottom because of its better elongation properties."
