Endress+Hauser launch the Promag 55S

Endress+Hauser have introduced the Promag 55S electromagnetic flowmeter for abrasive, high-temperature and chemically aggressive fluids, as well as fluids with a high solids content. With its high-performace transmitter, based on digital signal processing technology, and its robust sensor, the device is designed for tough metering tasks.

The Promag 55S offers a combination of liner materials and electrode designs to meet the differing demands of the process industries, including a natural rubber liner with brush electrodes for highly abrasive mineral slurry, and a polyurethane liner with tungsten carbide-coated electrodes for fine slurries.

The wide range of liner choices and electrodes available serves to maximize the Promag 55S’s operational life and performance in industry-specific applications, and thanks to its optimized pulsed direct current technology, the device also offers high levels of measurement reproducibility, accuracy (0.2%) and stability even in the noisiest flow applications. In addition, the Promag 55S features extended diagnostic functionality for enhanced process security and reduced maintenance costs.
