Doosan expand high-reach demolition excavator range

Doosan DX380DM-7 high-reach demolition excavator

Equipment manufacturer strengthens offering with new DX380DM-7 model

DOOSAN have added the new DX380DM-7 to their high-reach demolition excavator range, joining the existing DX235DM and DX530DM models launched last year.

Operating from a tiltable cab that offers a 30° tilting angle and best all-round visibility, the machine operator benefits from an exceptional working environment particularly suited to high-reach demolition applications.

The performance of the DX380DM-7 unit is enhanced by a hydraulically adjustable undercarriage, which extends to a maximum width of 4.37m to provide optimum stability when working on demolition sites. A lot of effort has also gone into the transportation of the high-reach excavator – the width of the undercarriage, for example, can be retracted hydraulically to 2.54m in the narrow width position.

When equipped with the digging boom in the straight configuration, the DX380DM-7 can work to a maximum height of 10.43m. As with other models in the Doosan high-reach range, the DX380DM-7 offers increased flexibility, thanks to a modular boom design and hydraulic lock mechanism.

The innovative design features, say Doosan, helps make it simple to change between a demolition boom and an earthmoving boom for carrying out different types of work on the same project, using the same machine.

The multi-boom design allows the earthmoving boom to be mounted in two different ways and along with the demolition boom, provides increased flexibility and a total of three different configurations on the same base machine.

Typical of the design of all new Doosan demolition excavators, safety features of the DX380DM-7 machine include: a FOGS cab guard; safety valves for the boom, intermediate boom and arm cylinders; and a stability warning system.
