Doosan 70-tonner for Wring Group

Doosan DX700LC excavator

Bristol firm expands fleet with first Doosan DX700LC excavator in the demolition industry

BRISTOL-based demolition experts Wring Group have expanded their equipment fleet with the purchase of the first Doosan DX700LC 70-tonne crawler excavator in the demolition industry.

Supplied by local authorized Doosan dealers Kellands (Plant Sales) Ltd of Bridgwater, in Somerset, the new machine will join six other Doosan excavators supplied to Wring by Kellands over the last 12 months.

After modification by Kocurek of Ipswich, the new DX700LC excavator (pictured on route to Kocurek) will form the base unit for a new super-high-reach demolition excavator, utilizing a refurbished 37m long arm previously carried by a 65-tonne base unit in the Wring fleet. The new super-high-reach excavator will be the largest of four high-reach excavators in the Wring fleet.

Wring Group director Dean Wring said: ‘Our continued investment in specialist equipment means we own one of the UK’s biggest, most advanced demolition fleets with a complement of more than 55 excavators and standard and high-reach demolition rigs from 0.75 to 90 tonnes and up to 37m reach, allowing us to undertake all manner of demolition and dismantling contracts.’

The DX700LC excavator is the largest model in the Doosan range and the long-carriage (LC) design, in combination with the undercarriage expanded to its maximum working width of 4,000mm, offers optimum stability and safety in a range of digging, lifting, loading and demolition applications.
