Dig A Crusher unveil new stars of the small screen

Responding to customer demand, Cheshire-based Dig A Crusher have unveiled a comprehensive new range of excavator-mounted screening buckets that will be sold under the Dig A Screener brand name. Suitable for excavators in the 10 to 35-tonne operating weight range, the new Dig A Screener products complement the company’s line-up of crusher bucket attachments for customers in the construction, plant hire, demolition, waste and recycling sectors.

Designed to match the size, weight, classification and nomenclature of the company’s highly popular range of excavator-mounted crusher buckets, the new screening attachments are divided into three ‘families’, each with their own specific applications:

S-Series – Comprising 11 individual models, the ‘screening’ or S-Series offers the ability to screen and mix awkward, wet or sticky materials. With bucket capacities from 0.8m3 to 2.9m3, the S-Series units are suitable for excavators in the 10 to 35-tonne operating weight range. Key applications include topsoil cleaning, stone removal, composting and forestry.

R-Series – Consisting of four individual models, the ‘rotating’ or R-Series units are trommel-type screens suitable for screening, separating and washing a wide variety of materials. Designed for carriers in the 13 to 35-tonne operating weight range, the R-Series is well suited to applications involving the processing and recycling of construction and demolition waste, as well as a host of mixing, cleaning and backfilling tasks.

V-Series – The three V-Series ‘vibrating’ riddle buckets are equally at home in construction and demolition waste, stone removal, forestry and composting applications. Suitable for carriers in the 13 to 30-tonne operating weight class, the V-Series models have capacities from 0.6m3 to 1.0m3 and offer a wide range of potential applications including rubble processing and segregation.

‘The UK has truly grasped the concepts of waste minimization and materials resource efficiency in recent years, and recycling is now a way of life for most companies in the construction, demolition and waste sectors. This has been reflected in the huge leap in demand for the Dig A Crusher buckets,’ said managing director Sean Heron.

‘However, having experienced the ability to crush and process materials on site with just a single excavator, many of our customers have asked us to provide a similar solution in the screening field. With the introduction of the new Dig A Screener products, we are not only expanding our product portfolio, but are also satisfying a clearly defined demand from our existing customer base.’
