Dig-a-crusher to enter hire business
Following the sales success of its Meccanica Breganzese manufactured excavator-mounted crusher bucket and screening plant, Cheshire-based Dig-a-crusher are launching their products into the hire market.
Set for an official launch in October, the new service will be fed through a range of established attachments outlets across the UK, founder Sean Heron and company consultant Terry McSweeney told MQR.
“There is a lot of demand for a hire service,” Heron said. It is a move that will see the realisation of a long established goal of the former Blackwood Hodge and Caterpillar director McSweeney.
He told MQR at the beginning of 2007 when he started at the company: “With attachments the confrontation with dealerships between sales and hire is much less critical.
"We have the product, we have the service engineers and we have the market. It is the next logical step.” The company has expanded its range since then. It now includes a range of excavator mounted screens including a newly released SL series of skid steer mounted star screens and a dig-a-magnet that can be retro-fitted to its range of bucket crushers.
