Cosalt Workwear under new ownership

Bright future for company bought out of administration by entrepreneur David Ross

COSALT Workwear, one of the UK’s leading providers of protective clothing and equipment to the road construction and aggregate industries, have been bought by entrepreneur David Ross from the administrators of Cosalt plc.

Under David Ross’s ownership, Cosalt Workwear are now debt free and, with financial support going forward, will be able to focus on offering better service levels and improving their lead times and delivery turnaround, while bringing new products to market.

‘With our future secured, we can focus our energy on meeting the needs of our customers and adding value to our products and services,’ explained Cosalt Workwear’s managing director Carlton Greener.

‘Many of our customers are committed to fully managed service contracts and they rely on us to keep people safe. We can reassure everyone that these contracts are secure and it is business as usual. Looking after customers is our number one priority.’

The acquisition means David Ross now owns 100% of the shares in Cosalt Workwear and the company will no longer be part of the Cosalt Group. Cosalt Workwear employ 58 people and have operations in Stockport and Barnsley as well as two distribution centres in the South East.

David Ross commented: ‘I am committed to seeing this highly successful and profitable business flourish and fulfil its potential. My intention is to work closely with Carlton and his team to ensure we continue to deliver high-quality protective clothing and industrial workwear to our customers.

‘With improved resources and a stronger financial base, I believe we can build the existing business, open up new markets and further improve our service levels to customers.’
