COM 2012 – Call for Abstracts – New Deadline

MetSoc moves deadline for submission of abstracts for the 51st annual Conference of Metallurgists

THE Metallurgy and Materials Society (MetSoc), a constituent society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), has revised the deadline in its call for abstracts for the 51st annual Conference of Metallurgists (COM 2012), which will be held in conjunction with Pressure Hydrometallurgy 2012 from 30 September to 3 October at the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

MetSoc is seeking abstracts for various papers on a range of themes, including sustainability issues in mining, minerals and metal extraction, the deadline for which has been moved to 31 January 2012. Authors will receive notification of acceptance or regret on 15 February and the revised deadline for the submission of papers for final editing is 1 April 2012.
