Cement deal

"RUGBY Cement’s plant at South Ferriby, part of the RMC Group, has taken delivery of a fleet of six new Caterpillar machines for its Middlegate Lane Quarry from Finning (UK) Ltd in a deal worth in excess of £1.5 million."

"Replacing a fleet of existing machines and fulfilling a need to meet an increased haul distance, the new line-up comprises a 988G wheel loader, three 771D dumptrucks, a D10R crawler tractor and a 312BL hydraulic excavator. The D10R operates seven days a week ripping the site’s unusually hard chalk deposit and is matched with the 988G which loads the ripped material into the 771Ds. The 312BL handles all secondary breaking duties."
