Celtic Energy commit to Terex

"Celtic Energy have invested over £6 million in new plant at their Nant Helen OCCS extension. This has included the purchase of eight Terex TR100 dumptrucks, together with a fully reconditioned 33HE as standby, and an O&K RH120-E face shovel."

"Having designed the site and established the optimum rate of production, Celtic Energy’s site manager, Chris Barber, and general foreman, Alan Roberts, opted for the Terex package which incorporates a guaranteed availability clause. Working two 7h shifts each day, the RH120-E is used to either remove overburden or extract coal. The RH120-E’s 17m3 high-fill bucket, combined with its 13.5m reach, can fill a TR100 in four passes with a cycle time of less than 2min."
