Case expand excavator range

Case used the recent Intermat 2000 exhibition to launch a number of new products including the latest Alliance 80-ton hydraulic excavator, which marks a return to the heavy excavator market after an absence of eight years when production of the Case Poclain 350CK ceased.

The 80-ton model has been added to the 90-series range which comprises five models - the 9007, 9013, 9021, 9033 and 9046. The new 9080 has a powerful 450hp engine and can be fitted with buckets of up to 4,600 litres capacity, making it suitable for large excavation and quarry work.

The machine's LC chassis makes it easy to transport and an extra-comfort cabin gives the operator optimal working conditions. Like the 9046 model, it is equipped with EMS which reduces the lubrication requirements for parts to 1,000h.

Also on display was one of two models in a range of rigid dumptrucks, an entirely new product now available from Case. Designated RD28 and RD40, with payload capacities of 28 tons and 40 tons respectively, the dumptrucks are aimed at the large-scale earthmoving and quarrying markets. They will be marketed initially in France, Africa and the Middle East.
