Cable support
The latest 20-page colour catalogue produced by EDL covers their range of cable support and management systems for a wide variety of heavy engineering applications. Included in the catalogue for the first time is information on the new universal mounting version of EDL's Vari-cleat range. Profiled bases permit mounting on both open and closed rungs of ladder racks, together with cable trays, 41mm wide channels and any appropriate flat surface. Variable fixing options together with clip-in cable-retention straps supplied as standard are some of the features now provided.
Other products include recently introduced heavy-duty versions of the Vari-cleats with higher short-circuit withstand ratings, and stainless steel trefoil cable straps used as intermediate surge clips between Vari-cleats. Surge clips and Vari-cleats are also available with low-smoke and low-fume liners to provide additional protection for cables.
Other products covered in the catalogue include aluminium trefoil cleats covering cables from 22.3mm to 60.3mm diameter. These are supplemented by Eurotech LSF channel cleats manufactured from flame-retardant black plastic which offer resistance to corrosive atmospheres, oil and chemical contamination, and are suitable for use within operating temperatures of -10øC to +120øC. Cable racks incorporating hardwood cleats and suitable for cables ranging from 12mm to 75mm outside diameter are also shown.
Cable hangers and suspension hooks, cable tray support brackets, connecting plates and clips etc, together with cable suspenders, catenary wire and associated accessories are also included.
