Butters AMT launch Fusor range
Butters AMT have recently introduced their Fusor range of multi-process welding machines to suit a broad range of applications. Heading this new range is the Fusor 160, a single-phase inverter-based machine with built-in wire feed and three modes of operation: MMA electrode welding with variable arc force; MIG welding with variable stepless adjustability; and TIG welding lift arc with variable downslope and a minimum current of 5A.
The 160’s cabinet is compact (470mm x 205mm x 355mm) and the unit itself weighs just 13kg, making it suitable for site work. Completing the Fusor range are the models 303 P, 353 SP and 503 SP, all of which are three-phase multi-function synergic machines with four modes of operation: MIG pulse synergic; MIG twin-pulse synergic; TIG with lift arc; and MMA electrode.
The three units have 99 memory locations, allowing users to store and recall regularly used machine settings. The 303 P, 353 SP and 503 SP all share the same cabinet sizes at 600mm x 300mm x 560mm, although the weight of each machine differs.
Julian Knowles, Butters AMT’s technical director, commented: ‘There is an increasing demand for multi-process welding machines. For example, they are proving very popular in workshops that do not see sufficient demand for any individual welding technology to justify the purchase of separate machines. A multi-process machine is also a sensible purchase to provide back-up when single-process machines are in use.’
