Bulk2012 – Call for Papers

Materials Handling Engineers Association issues call for papers for next year’s Bulk Handling Conference

BUILDING on the success of this year’s conference, the Materials Handling Engineers Association (MHEA) has issued a call for papers for Bulk2012, which will take place next year from 16–17 May at the Forest Pines Resort Complex Conference Centre, in North Lincolnshire.

The organizers say submissions relating to technical innovation or process improvements will be given preference, particularly those relating to heavy industries such as minerals processing and cement, metal manufacture, power, port operations, mining, waste processing and recycling.

The final conference programme will be determined by the contributions received, but is likely to include papers on: Developments in materials handling; Drives and transmissions; Loading, unloading, storage and reclaim; Crushing, screening and washing; Control of impact, abrasion and erosion; Spillage and dust control; Biomass handling; Waste and recycling; Control, metering and management systems; Energy efficiency; Operation and maintenance; and Regulatory compliance and health and safety matters.

Initial submissions, in the form of a synopsis, should be forwarded by email to the conference secretary, Peter Webster. A contact form is provided below. Submissions must be received by 31 January 2012.
