Brett Concrete choose Gotland

SkipVAC helps Brett Concrete improve preventive maintenance at Ridham

At a demonstration at Brett Concrete’s Ridham Docks terminal, Gotland’s SkipVAC proved to be a particularly suitable solution for dealing with granulated ground blast furnace slag, a recycled product sourced from blast furnaces in Germany.

Jed Stacey, terminal supervisor, said: ‘We’ve all been very, very impressed by the SkipVAC’s performance. We’ve used smaller vacuum machines but they weren’t up to the job when it came to lumps of slag, or the volumes we need to pick up. We were using truck-mounted vacuum equipment, but the cost of a day’s hire compared with the hire cost of a SkipVAC makes the SkipVAC system far more cost effective. We heard about the SkipVAC, put it to work and it was obvious to the fitters and myself that it was a much better solution.’
