Blue debut machines at Scotplant 2010

Blue Group company, Blue Scotland, will be showing four new machines to the UK marketplace at the forthcoming Scotplant exhibition. On display will be the new Powerscreen Warrior 800 mobile screener, a Powerscreen XH 250 impact crusher, a Doppstadt SM 620 star screen and a Doppstadt DW 3060 bio power shredder.

The market-entry Warrior 800 is the latest addition to Powerscreen’s Warrior range of heavy-duty screens. Featuring customer-driven design benefits, the Warrior 800 is a multi-purpose, heavy-duty, incline two-deck screening plant, capable of stockpiling, three-way splitting or scalping before and after the crushing process. The screenbox can be fitted with a wide variety of screen media, making it versatile and suited to a variety of applications including topsoil, recycling, C&D waste, sand and gravel, and aggregates. The Warrior 800, which accepts material feed size up to 400mm, has a throughput capacity of up to 300 tonnes/h, depending on the application and selected configuration.

The Warrior on display will be the tracked version (a wheeled model is also available), which has a compact transport footprint with a width of 2.5m, which makes it easy and cost-effective to move from one location to another.

The Powerscreen Pegson XH 250 horizontal-shaft impactor is a compact tracked crusher designed for recycling and demolition applications. The plant is capable of processing all material types and can achieve a throughput capacity up to 250 tonnes/h. The impact crusher features hydraulic overload protection, offering excellent reduction and consistently high product yield.

The mobile, crawler-mounted Doppstadt DW-3060K bio-power heavy-duty shredder is the largest and latest machine in Doppstadt’s Buffalo range and is suited to single-pass biofuel production; the first model to be sold in the UK has recently been delivered to a Scottish customer.

Capable of handling green waste, large bulk timber and wood waste, mixed construction waste and industrial refuse, the single-shaft, slow-speed DW-3060K has numerous beneficial features. These include optimum tooth arrangement on the roller, reversible fan wheel, a modified hopper shape for easy loading, electrically controlled roller reversing and a large return conveyor. Additionally, it is equipped with an overband magnet for the safe removal of tramp metals from feed materials.

The Doppstadt SM-620K star screen features a screening drum construction with interior helix, which allows space-saving horizontal machine installation. Replaceable screening drums, a variety of ancillary equipment and choice of mesh sizes allows the machine to be adjusted and reconfigured for a wide variety of screening tasks and feed material. The trommel screen drum is 5,430mm in length, 2,000mmm diameter, with a 15 rev/m rotating speed.
