Asphalt 2012 – Innovation in Recession
Product and process innovation will be the focus of the MPA Asphalt 2012 conference
THIS year’s MPA Asphalt conference, on the theme ‘Innovation in Recession’, will take place at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, near Warwick, on Tuesday 18 September.
Featuring experts from across the broad spectrum of the highways construction and maintenance community, the conference will tackle the subject of providing innovative highways maintenance services and products that address financial, political and other targets to deliver ‘more for less’.
The one-day conference, organized in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) and with sponsorship from TRL, will aim to put in context the drivers for innovation and how industry is delivering on these, either individually or in collaboration.
Asphalt 2012 will draw upon a panel of leading specialists from the broad highways construction and maintenance community, including Central and Local Government bodies, highways authorities, MPA member companies and other organizations.
Themes to be addressed will include: Maintenance efficiency, more than just potholes – protecting the public purse; The great SMA debate; Sustainable solutions and essential materials – innovative case studies; and Updates on sector activities and research.
