Aggregate Industries acquire Lattimore Materials Corp

Texas-based aggregate and ready-mixed concrete producer acquired by Aggregate Industries US Inc

LATTIMORE Materials Corp (LMC), the Texas-based aggregate and ready-mixed concrete producers, have become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aggregate Industries US Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Prior to this transaction, a minority interest in LMC was owned by a different subsidiary of Holcim Ltd.

‘The acquisition of LMC will fit very well into the Aggregate Industries US operation,’ said Bernard Terver, Holcim Ltd US area manager.

‘Until now, Aggregate Industries US did not have a presence in Texas. The acquisition of LMC firmly establishes the company’s operations in this important area of the US and allows Aggregate Industries US to fully leverage the very strong positions and reputation of LMC.’

Pat Ward, Aggregate Industries US’s senior vice-president for the Western Region, will oversee the organization’s operations.

LMC operate seven aggregate quarries, 26 ready-mixed concrete sites with 35 concrete plants, four rail terminals and a fleet of over 400 truckmixer and haul trucks.
