Aggregate Industries acquire Klett Construction

AGGREGATE Industries have further consolidated their position in central US markets with the acquisition of Klett Construction Co. for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Hartford, Michigan, Klett operate two fixed asphalt plants and one portable unit which service both commercial and infrastructure projects in the south-west Michigan and northern Indiana region.
Established in early 1999 with the purchase of Bill Smith Sand & Gravel Co., Aggregate Industries' Central Region is now an integrated construction materials business supplying aggregate, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, concrete blocks, precast concrete products and contracting services. The business is the second largest supplier of asphalt and paving services in south-west Michigan, behind market leaders Oldcastle Materials.
