Speedy way to avoid downtime this winter

Speedy launch new ICE number

Rental equipment provider launches new ICE number to help companies avoid costly winter disruptions

RENTAL equipment and integrated services providers Speedy have launched a new round-the-clock ‘In Case of Emergency’ (ICE) number to help the industrial sector avoid costly delays and disruption this winter.

Long dark nights, flooding, freezing temperatures and heavy snow can all pose serious problems for industrial organizations, including frozen pipes, damaged machinery and reduced access to site, potentially costing thousands of pounds per week in downtime.

The ICE number connects to the ‘Speedy Response’ service, which has dealt with thousands of emergency calls since it was launched in December last year. It provides equipment and support for Speedy’s entire product range as well as on-call expert engineers.

David Parkes, market director for Industrial at Speedy, said: ‘The harsh winters that we have been experiencing in recent years have posed serious problems for the industrial sector.

‘The Speedy Response service has provided thousands of clients with access to on-call engineers, nationwide breakdown cover, and a telephone assistance service for almost 12 months now, which has helped minimize disruption to businesses.

‘As the winter once again draws in, we can support people that work through the night and during the Christmas holidays to help prevent minor problems escalating into major disasters.

‘Our extensive range of temporary power, lighting, heating, drying and dehumidifying solutions, frozen pipe equipment, temporary welfare accommodation, snow ploughs, gritters, and gas and fuel management, will allow the industrial sector to operate as effectively and safely as possible this winter.’

The new ICE number, which is available 24h a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, is: 0845 6099 999.
